Leikeim’s own family brewery in northern Bavaria is now under the guiding hand of fifth-generation brewmaster Andreas Leikeim and his team. Thuringian brewery Altenburger Brauerei rose from difficult times when the Leikeim family jumped in to help in 1991. Nowwinning many awards, Altenburger is testimony to hard work and brewing excellence, with Bastian Leikeim ranked 12th best in the world at the 2019 International Beer Sommelier Championships – it must be in his family DNA!
