QUEENSLAND'S GERMAN CONNECTIONS - PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE

Brisbane BMW and Westside BMW milestones Brisbane BMW Group has been a proud supporter of the German community in Queensland. In 2011, Lindsay Fox and LMM Holdings were behind the German Chamber of Commerce fundraising event which raised much-needed funds for flood victims in Queensland.

In 2009 Brisbane BMW reached a milestone with the dealership celebrating its 10 year anniversary under the current leadership team. Throughout the 10 years under the new management team the dealership has grown three-fold, becoming Queensland’s largest BMW dealership and one of BMW’s most successful teams across Australia. The dealership group are showing no signs of slowing down in the years to come with plans for more investment in facilities and expansion at both Brisbane BMW and Westside BMW to cater for growth.

In 1999 Brisbane BMW was purchased by LMM Holdings Pty Ltd, a company made up of transport magnate Lindsay Fox, Izzy Herzog, former BMW Australia Sales and Marketing General Manager Martin Roller and former BMW Australia Financial Controller Marvin Burke. The four individuals bought a wealth of BMW experience and knowledge to the dealership with Lindsay Fox already being a partner in the successful Motor Holdings Group. Martin and Marvin shared a combined 27 years of BMW Australia experience, which proved to be an invaluable tool in taking on the new challenge. There have been a number of important highlights since LMM Holdings took over the reins in 1999 which include the redevelopment of the dealership’s Fortitude Valley site as well the establishment of the award-winning Brisbane MINI Garage and sister dealership Westside BMW in Darra. Proudly owned and operated by Brisbane BMW, Westside BMW offers everything BMW, but closer to home for its western suburbs customers. On 30 June 2008, Westside BMW was the first luxury car dealer to service the growing areas from the Centenary suburbs through Forest Lake and out to Ipswich and Springfield. The Westside BMW development covers 5000 square metres and is state-of-the-art in its construction incorporating a number of smart environmental features.
