… to meet many new friends …

GROUPS

A visit to the island and exploration of the lagoon followed by sundowners on Meltemi was a chance to touch base with some that were commencing their return over the coming days. With the weather predicted to change, part of the fleet continued to Fitzroy Reef whilst others sailed between Heron andWistari reefs and on to NorthWest Island and its reef (unfortunately missing Fitzroy). At NorthWest, we anchored beside the reef in perfect but surreal conditions and celebrated a significant birthday party on Polaris .

The first combined dinner was in Bundaberg and a great opportunity for everyone to regroup and catch up with the gossip. Each vessel produced a limerick (with some very interesting ones!) and Affinity won the opening bottle of champagne. With a combined breakfast the next day there was a perfect opportunity for a group shot. After relaxing in Bundaberg for the weather to improve, the fleet split with some going to Pancake Creek and oth- ers to Lady Musgrave. Lady Musgrave was perfect with the weather gods treating us well: this image does not lie!

Lively group catch-up at Baltimore, Bundaberg Port Marina.
