Seventy-Five Mile Beach Hit the famous ‘sandy highway’ in a 4WD heading north on the east coast of Fraser Island with the Pacific Ocean on one side and truly amazing sand dunes on the other. If time allows, join the Air Fraser crew for a scenic flight as this is one of the few places on this coast where light planes are allowed to land and take off on the sandy beaches.

Eli Creek Known for its sheer volumes of fresh water hitting the ocean every hour, Eli Creek is a popular picnic and swimming spot. Many visitors like to join the swiftly- flowing creek further upstream to swim or float down in the current towards the beach.

Fraser Coast

SS Maheno shipwreck The Maheno wreck sits in the sand right on the beach so is easily accessible from a 4WD. Once a well-known trans- Tasman liner, the rusting wreck washed ashore during an out-of-season cyclone in 1935. Popular with photography enthusiasts providing rustic frames, the wreck is a great piece of Australian history.
