Notices to Mariners For updates on navigational charts, refer to the MSQ website for the latest Notices to Mariners providing information on current activities in the listed areas e.g. pile driving operations or maintenance on navigational lights. Clocks remain on Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) for all seasons. Other states such as NSW have daylight saving from October through to April, known as Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT). Australia Day is a set date of 26 January as is ANZAC Day on 25 April. Marine safety MSQ provides detailed information on general safety obligations while operating a vessel in Queensland waters covering drug and alcohol rules, lifejackets, operating personal watercraft and water skiing to firefighting equipment and collision regulations.
