LOCATION / TOPIC
World-renowned Noosa is one of Australia’s top coastal playgrounds, boasting a beautiful natural environment set around Main Beach at Noosa Heads, complete with high-end shopping and eateries by the mouth of the Noosa River running up through Noosaville to Tewantin through inland lakes to its very own everglades. Noosa National Park with its native tree-lined walks, and the additional surf destinations of Sunshine Beach and Sunrise Beach, just an easy step away. Noosa Main Beach is ranked in the top 10 World Surfing Reserves, making it one of Australia’s most iconic surfing towns.
For all the stunning beauty of its beaches, the rolling hills and panoramic vistas of the mountain ranges framing the Sunshine Coast to the west are equally inviting for visitors. Discover secluded waterfalls in rainforest national parks, browse some of the many farmer’s markets and savour delicious wines whilst dining on local produce prepared by world-class chefs.
Sunshine Coast
The popular oceanfront town Mooloolaba is set on a long sweeping beach culminating in the southern end at the breakwater entrance to the Mooloolah River with the Point Cartwright lighthouse close by. Just north beyond Alexandra Headland is the town of Maroochydore on the Maroochy River. The built-up coastline walk combining the two locations runs just above the beachline and is a popular easy morning or evening walk with Alexandra Headland as the high point providing a sweeping view of the wide-open bay.
