Physical • Visual tracking skills – watching the bubbles with their eyes.
Make your own bubble solution Put 4 tablespoons of water, 2 tablespoons of sugar and
1 tablespoon of dish soap into a bowl.
• Hand-eye co-ordination – watching and trying to catch the bubbles. • Balance – running while looking at the bubbles. • Oral Motor Skills – blowing the bubbles. (Blowing bubbles through smaller wands will be easier!) • Big Muscles – chasing the bubbles. • Little Muscles – holding onto the bubble wand steadily.

Stir until the sugar dissolves.
Make your own bubble wand • Bend the end of a pipe cleaner
into a circle shape – dip the circle into the bubble solution.
• Hold a few straws together using string or rubber band – dip the ends of the straws into the bubble solution and blow through the other end. • Blow through an empty paper towel roll.
Words • Describing words – big, little, fast, up, down, in front of you, behind you. Playtime tips • Popping bubbles – when your child is seated in their high chair, blow bubbles and point at them, encouraging your child to pop them by clapping. • Chasing bubbles – blow bubbles and encourage your child to chase them aroun the room or yard, popping them by clapping. • Pre-writing Skills – encourage your child to pop the bubbles with their finger, or using a pencil.
