LSC photographer Pam Mobsby took a number of pictures of the tree in our bistro patio garden in April 2017 as a reference point before some delicate work was undertaken to remove the encroaching bark regrowth from the carved visage of the legendary One Mile character Jackie Borey. One historical legacy faring less well is the proposed 2nd edition update of our Club’s history, published in 1986. Repeated requests in the past couple of years for assistance, contributions, photos, memories and other archival materials have produced little by way of results. Our Club’s history dies another step with each Member who ‘crosses the Bar’ or otherwise withdraws from an active role in the ongoing life of LSC. Can we as a club, in 2018, at last do something to stem this tide …?
