Certificate of Appreciation

A Certificate of Appreciation is awarded throughout QFES in recognition of exceptional assistance provided for a specific project or task. A Certificate of Appreciation may also be awarded by the Commissioner, QFES on resignation or retirement from QFES, recognising an individual’s years of service.

This award is generally presented as a message of thanks and gratitude. A Certificate of Appreciation can be award- ed as a: • Commissioner’s Certificate of Appreciation

• Assistant Commissioner’s Certificate of Appreciation.

QFES Honours and Awards

Written requests for a Commissioner’s Certificate of Appreciation are received by the Honours and Awards Team via QFES.HonoursandAwards@qfes.qld.gov.au All relevant information that is required on the certificate — e.g. years/dates of services and citation wording is to be included in the written request. All Assistant Commissioners have access to Certificates of Appreciation. For Rural Fire Service Certificate of Appreciation, recommendations should be submitted via email to QFES.RFSQEA@qfes.qld.gov.au with a Regional Manager’s endorsement. All relevant information that is required on the certificate — e.g. years/dates of services and citation wording should be included in the email request.
