Certificate of Appreciation

Eligibility All members of the QFES workforce, paid and volunteer, are eligible for nomination for this award. In addition, this award may be presented to members of the public, community groups, businesses and companies.

Certificate design The award is a certificate with a citation statement. The certificate is signed and presented by the Commissioner/Assistant Commissioner or their designated delegate.

QFES Honours and Awards

For SES Certificates of Appreciation, a SES Local Controller, SES Area Controller, SES Regional Manager/Director or SES Headquarters Officer can recommend the award of a certificate. A recommendation should be submitted on the appropriate recommendation form. The form should be sent to the SES Area Controller for forwarding to the SES Regional Office. The SES Regional Office will then endorse the recommendation and forward to the Assistant Commissioner SES for approval. Citations should be prepared in draft for the Assistant Commissioner SES’ approval. Any request to award a certificate should contain as much background information as possible so that a Media Officer is able to write a media release on the award for issue from the Minister’s Office, if necessary.
