Outside of the Brisbane River, the main marina that can accommodate visiting superyachts in the Moreton Bay area is the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron (RQYS). The Squadron is based at the Lota end of Manly within the Manly Boat Harbour, inside St Helena and Green Islands. RQYS has several floating pontoon berths for vessels over 24m with a maximum length of up to 36m, as well as a visitor’s dock (by advance booking) for guest pick-up and drop-off, fuel and the capability to haul out vessels up to 19m. rqys.com.au Local marine services are available within the Squadron compound and more are located in the local area of Manly Village (five minutes’ walk) and nearby at Wynnum. RQYS also offers excellent provisioning services to visiting vessels. For a guest pick-up or drop-off point further north in Moreton Bay (north of the shipping channel), Scarborough Marina located within the Scarborough Boat Harbour on the top end of the Redcliffe Peninsula is able to accommodate a visiting vessel’s tender for this purpose with advance notice.
