The Yard Brisbane in Hemmant is closest to the Port of Brisbane at the river mouth. With two 50m service berths for superyachts and the ability to haul out vessels up to 75m LOA, The Yard Brisbane is well-equipped to assist the majority of visiting yachts to Australia. For vessels requiring refit and repair, the site features a variety of purpose-built refit sheds, up to 90m in length and 25m in height. The sheds feature a range of interior workspaces, overhead gantry cranes, bathroom facilities, fire detection systems and more. With three straddle-carriers onsite of up to 600t lifting capacity, The Yard Brisbane offers a variety of lifting and standing options for its customers, and the team includes refit coordinators, marine service trades, sales, marketing and finance divisions and the most experienced operations (lifting) team in the country
A short distance upstream is Rivergate Marina & Shipyard at Murarrie, the official Clearance Station for superyachts entering Australian waters through Southeast Queensland, providing a dedicated berth for Immigration, Customs and quarantine. There are also two in-water service berths for vessels up to 60m. Rivergate Marina & Shipyard has haul-out facilities onsite, with 75t and 300t Travelifts (and access to 600t), project managers and a range of specialist marine tenants. In the ‘2017 Boat International Top Refit Yards’ report, Rivergate Marina & Shipyard was ranked number three in the world. Rivergate Marina & Shipyard also provides superyacht crews and captains with many other onsite facilities and services including 24/7 high- and low-flow diesel, unleaded and premium unleaded fuel, and single and 3-phase power up to 400amps to the berths. Brisbane Airport—both international and domestic terminals—is a short drive from Rivergate Marina & Shipyard. BSE Brisbane Slipway is located in Colmslie on the south side of the river upstream from the Gateway Bridge and is part of BSE Maritime Solutions. The Brisbane Slipway is one of the largest-capacity shipyards in eastern Australia and features a wide range of services including the capability to be dedicated to a single refit project. GCCM-Pacific Marine Base Brisbane is operated and managed collaboratively by Pacific Tug Group and Gold Coast City Marina and Shipyard, and offers two berths with in-water infrastructure for yachts up to 100m, using the existing facility—and a new working dock that can accommodate yachts up to 120m which is currently under construction. Above-waterline work includes total hull and superstructure refinishing projects. Located 5NM from the river mouth, the site offers 330m of shoreline and is a Customs and Biosecurity Clearance Station for vessels and crew entering Australian waters. gccm.com.au
