Marina Mirage is a harbourside shopping destination featuring high- end boutiques and brands, cafés and restaurants and a dazzling marina offering long-term and casual berths. The Palazzo Versace Gold Coast hotel is one of the top 5-star hotels in the area, immersing guests in the opulent Versace lifestyle experienced throughout their accommodation and facilities which includes a private marina. Mariners Cove Marina offers general shopping, food and dining options and is a popular pick-up and drop-off point for visitors taking local tours for diving, snorkelling, fishing and whale-watching. Marina Mirage

The Southport Surf Club has been active since 1936, has a licensed restaurant and bar and a full 180-degree view of the beach. sslsc.com.au At the southern end of Main Beach is Tedder Avenue with al fresco dining cafés and bars along a palmtree-lined avenue. Towards the northern end of Main Beach, and running adjacent to it, is the inshore area of southern end of the Broadwater. It is a developed stretch of waterfront land hosting numerous major attractions, high-end hotels and marinas.

Today the beach is as popular as ever with surfers, swimmers and walkers alike. Now part of Hollindale Park, the beach has retained some of the original buildings including the change rooms and the bathing pavilion, now the Main Beach Pavilion Café. The cafe sells only takeaways including fish-and-chips which customers can eat right on the beach.
