Burleigh Heads

Burleigh Heads is home to one of the world’s most iconic surf brands: Billabong. Burleigh Beach sits just north of a rocky outcrop that is ‘the heads’ and also a small national park. This rock formation creates a north- facing beach providing calmer waters and protected swimming spots – and the famous surfing point break that sometimes produces perfect tubular waves known as “Burleigh Barrels”. tinyurl.com/dgc-burleigh-heads

The Tallebudgera Creek exit to the ocean provides some shallower sandy waters for swimming. The national park area of the heads has walking trails to explore with local wildlife and again, amazing views out to the Pacific Ocean and north towards the skyscrapers of Surfers Paradise.

The Burleigh Pavilion is right on Burleigh Beach tucked into the headland. The Burleigh Pavilion is a stunning place to eat and drink right adjacent to the sand while watching the surfers chase the perfect wave. Bookings necessary for The Tropic and Rick Shores . burleighpavilion.com thetropic.burleighpavilion.com rickshores.com.au
