We have 11 branches, from north to Cooroy, south to Beerwah and covering the coast and hinterland but, unfortunately, due to lack of members we- have had to close Buderim and Bli Bli Branches. (In the interim a committee has been formed to operate the four, low-income Mudjimba Court Units for Bli Bli.) Nonetheless, there are approximately 300 members in our division. We have four holiday units situated at Cotton Tree— two permanent and two for holiday rentals—including a disabled unit. These have been made available to drought-affected families for a break and have been much appreciated. Property management is conducted by Cotton Tree Real Estate on a day-to-day basis. The Country Kitchens program has been active in our division with STEMM being an outstanding example of how we can influence the health of our young families. Both Palmwoods and Caloundra Branches have been conducting After School Sewing programs for children. PORT CURTIS CENTRAL REGION • DIVISION REPORT Heather Wieland An amazing amount of volunteer hours—35,669!— recorded by members this financial year. Port Curtis Division has three distinct areas: the Gladstone district has five branches, Biloela has four, and the Monto/Bancroft Area has three. We have four halls, four restrooms, and two meeting rooms attached to a local community hall—all maintained by their respective branches—four cottages, and two units managed and maintained by the QCWA Callide Valley Building Committee for the Aged; also, one Community Garden at the Gladstone QCWA hall. Donations: Cancer Council , Daffodil Day , RFDS , Capricorn Helicopter Service , Care Flight , QCWA PRCF, Biggest Morning Tea , ACWW Clean Water, Women feed the World , Coins for Friendship and the division’s project ‘SO-SO Village.’ In-kind donations: quilts for children’s wards, knee rugs to aged-care homes, Country Bears , ANZAC wreaths, Boomerang Bags , kits for kids, birthing kits and items for DV Connect.

Maleny Guides and Maleny Branch have formed a partnership and the branch is holding their Annual Meeting in the Guide Hall. Division Handcraft continue to use Maroochydore Hall for its Handcraft meetings and Cooroy Branch has organised a trip to Tasmania later in 2019.

Several members attended the ACWW Conference in Melbourne as well as the State International Weekend. I attended the Central Region Conference at Gympie and spoke on Protocol and Etiquette. Port Curtis Division unfortunately has low attendance at Region Conference, August being one of our busiest months. We have a great attendance at State Conference, however, with most of the Division Officers and the majority of branches in attendance, all represented by Voting Delegates or Proxies.
